This worked out admirably in The Forgotten Age, with most enemies killed off within 1 or 2 actions.
While expensive in VP to setup this deck becomes a force to reckon with. The 2 Charisma and Mitch Brown allow for 5 allies which is a great shield soak.Beat Cop plus Venturer meant that I was always in good shape with the Reliable Shotgun. Calling in Favors was the cherry on top to ensure that those allies kept getting cycled based on damage received or need for more ammo, or just finding the right card at the right time.

Feb 03, 2019At higher attack skills, the Shotgun provides more max damage even though the Lightning Gun is probably more reliable early on in case the 2 Beat Cops aren't out. Elusive really proves useful if you find yourself at the end of the map and need to be somewhere else quickly and there's no real need to add multiple assets. It's all about the Shotgun here and using Leo Anderson's ability of a fast discounted ally play. Custom Ammunition is definitely worth considering; I was lucky that one of my fellow investigators, Father Mateo, was blessing me with his Custom Ammunition. So yes, a Shotgun with 2 Reliables and a Custom Ammunition,, Leo Anderson was all smiles :) |
What about switching Shotgun for Lightning Gun and x2 Elusive for Ever Vigilant and Lone Wolf/Custom Ammunition?
