This is a Sefina mystic-based Solo deck I am taking against The Circle Undone for The League of Extraordinary Investigators. The challenge is scenarios 1,2,3 and 5,6. With the card pool I have, I decided my mystic cards make Sef more reliable than my rogue cards. This was built after the Starter decks and The Innsmouth deluxe came out. I do not have any Dunwich cards and only the deluxe box for Carcosa.

Spells. The core of the deck is playing spells, especially events, and boosting Willpower . There are plenty of events for placing beneath Sef at the start of the game, along with assets to make actions more efficient. Arcane Initiate helps draw more events without spending actions, and Robes of Endless Night helps pay for them while also giving some Health soak.

Clues. Sixth Sense has been my go to for solo mystic clue-getting. Solo worries less about multi-clue locations, and it also only has a positive for symbol chaos tokens. Read the Signs helps avoid TCU's "Haunted" effects, boosts itself, and gets double clues. Intel Report is included to help with high shroud locations or to snipe clues from under enemies.

Damage. My hardest choices for the deck were deciding how I wanted to handle enemy management, especially for TCU. Shrivelling is my go to mystic asset for damage, Sef can handle the horror cost. Spectral Razor is reliable for extra damage and for engaging some of the aloof enemies. Even though there are a lot of auto-engagement of enemies, I still prefer to have some evasion than use other damage options. Ethereal Form is great for getting me out of bad situations with a huge boost (8+). I decided to use Mists of R'lyeh as a long term evasive answer, especially since I plan to switch out Shrivelling for Ornate Bow. I had tried to use Backstab instead, but could not consistently boost it when I needed the 3 damage. This is the decision I am least sure on.

Utility. I have the general Ward of Protection and Deny Existence to protect against the worst effects of the encounter decks. Holy Rosary is my permanent boost, and sanity soak, to be joined by Four of Cups later on. Resources come from Voice of Ra for spell synergy and Emergency Cache, later to be replaced with Hot Streak and Easy Mark.

Skills. Guts is to help hit the tougher checks, one of which will be replaced with the single Four of Cups. Unexpected Courage will help with any random important test which comes up, and Promise of Power is an emergency boost and tech for the last scenario in the series.

Upgrades. Four of Cups, Hot Streak, Ornate Bow, and Easy Mark have already been mentioned. With the improved money generation, High Roller becomes a candidate for more generic skill-boosting, and tech for the last scenario. Depending on how the season goes, I might decide to switch Arcane Initiate for Leo De Luca or Delilah O'Rourke to help with more efficiency if I do not need the card draw. If I want more skill reliability, I might go Sure Gamble or Counterspell.

[This is my first write up. I am hoping to start doing more like this in the future. So if you found this useful, let me know what you thought so I can make changes to how I do these. Thanks for reading.]
