Father Mateo deck used for a blind run of 3-player TFA campaign.

This is a full meme deck that tried to maximize bless / curse synergies by fishing for them using Olive McBride, and abusing the to automatically succeed.

This is by no means an optimized deck, as evident by the double Versatile I'm running to maximize the meme package.

Piloting

  • This is an unconventional deck that doesn't have much stats outside of some . Promise of Power can help you in a pinch, and Eye of the Djinn helps sometimes but usually you're looking to automatically succeed with , Blessing of Isis / Beloved.

  • You're a priest that sometimes performs miracles. Don't expect to be passing most tests, and that's fine as long as you're helping to pass the really important / difficult tests.

Spend more turns drawing / getting resources instead of trying to be immediately useful.

  • This deck excels at mitigating difficult situations in the form of cancelling / skipping encounter cards with your wards or A Watchful Peace, efficiently killing high health enemies with Spectral Razor and Radiant Smite, as well as getting difficult clues using Drawn to the Flame

  • Loudly emphasize the importance of bless tokens in the rare occasion that it helps your team

  • Keep quiet and blame bad luck when curse makes your teammates fail. Prove how rare it is to by getting no curses when you need them

Explanation

  • We have Sacred Covenant to keep the blesses in the bag when not needed, and maximize the chance of converting double tokens into tokens through Blessing of Isis

  • Spirit of Humanity allows us to add / tokens on demand (also giving us plenty soak as long as you are fine with the curses)

  • Upgraded Armageddon and Eye of Chaos scale off each token.

Throughout my campaign there are many instances where I just cursed an enemy to death with Armageddon even though my skill test did not pass.

  • Tides of Fate converts the curses into bless temporarily. This can be consumed by A Watchful Peace to clear curses, while also skipping encounter cards for one Mythos phase

  • Eye of the Djinn is self-explanatory with the amount of blesses / curses in the deck

  • With curses in the deck, having 0 skill value happens pretty often, and Eucatastrophe changes that into a success instead.

  • Ward of Radiance at lvl 0 can cancel bad treacheries for other investigators, which is pretty good at the start. Can be quite consistent if we play Keep Faith before this

  • Radiant Smite is just crazy efficient, dealing 4 damage with 1 cost
