Introduction

Rex Murphy is one of the best Seekers to play with due to his built in Deduction-like ability. He found a way to time travel and he’s back from the future to show he knows where everything is with his Telescanner (Hyperphysical Shotcaster). He’ll just need a little help from his friends.

This deck requires a Fighter. You're going to be netting all of those clues in exchange. You can also play this in Standalone mode for 19XP due to In the Thick of It or just remove In the Thick of It and Studious, but the extra card draw increases your chances of pulling what you need first turn.

Also, thanks to Valentin1331 for the template and scavenging the Hyperphysical with his Rita deck that inspired this.

Main Strategy:
  • Use Telescanner on Hyperphysical Shotcaster which reads
"Investigate. Investigate with any skill. If you succeed, discover a clue at any revealed location instead of your location." and combine that with Rex Murphy's ability which reads
"After you succeed at a skill test by 2 or more while investigating: Discover 1 clue at your location." If you succeed by two or more while investigating, you'll be getting a two clues still. One clue at your location with Rex's ability and one clue at the revealed location you chose. Don't worry about those pesky High Shroud Locations.

  • With Scavenging, you can get back your Hyperphysical Shotcaster after it's discarded from the same investigation!

  • Use your friends, Dr. Milan Christopher, Magnifying Glass, Death • XIII to improve your !

He's here, he's there, he's every-f___ing-where, Rex Murphy!:
  • The basis of this deck works off of getting all of the locations revealed that are placed currently and then picking an lower Shroud to work off of to begin investigating. Pathfinder helps get you moving to find a good shroud to work off of. Watch as you slowly drain the location placement of clues.

  • Hyperphysical Shotcaster nets you two clues an action still with Rex Murphy's ability. Once a location has 0 clues, move onto the next location and keep discovering those clues.

  • Deduction blasts locations with your knowledge of the future. Have a location with three clues? Use Deduction with the Telescanner and net 3 clues and a 4th from another location.

  • Is there a location with Locked Door or Obscuring Fog? You can still discover clues from those locations since you aren't investigating that location and Hyperphysical says "I don't care about the door. I'm from the future."

Maximize your intellect. BRAIN POWER :
  • We have the best Dr. in this game, Dr. Milan Christopher. Once he's out, you'll be netting +1 resource for every successful investigation.

  • Your tarot was drawn and it was Death • XIII. If you can get this out, it's an easy +1 to go towards getting that ability to pop off. Even better, if it's in your opening hand, put it into play at no cost.

  • Last but not least, is everyone's favorite, Magnifying Glass. This is a no-BRAINER to raise your . It's fast costs 1 and goes alongside your Hyperphysical Shotcaster.

Don't worry, you're getting paid for this.:
  • Of course, this costs some $$ so Dr. Milan Christopher helps generate the resources to pay for things that need to be put out.

  • Faustian Bargain is an awesome way to generate an easy 5 resources for 2 tokens. These aren't hard to handle. Depending on the chaos bag, they aren't much of a concern.

  • Crack the Case helps you gain resources right before you move on to another location to get some more clues. Just finished a 4 Shroud Location? Crack the Case and then Pathfinder to the next location.

Other Cards :
  • Need to move to another location quickly? Need to evade an enemy for free at your location? Hmm, need to get another clue at another revealed location for free?! Segment of Onyx is in here for Pendant of the Queen. Once you have this card out, it's used as you need as the scenario progresses.

  • Ways to tutor what you need. Backpack is in here to look at the top 12 cards. You'll be wanting to grab your Hyperphysical Shotcaster first, your Magnifying Glass second and the Segment of Onyx last. It's possible to find all three segments in your backpack to get Pendant of the Queen out.

  • Another tutoring card is Captivating Discovery. If you find you have an abundance of clues or if you can place some clues on your location for card draw. This is usually if you really need to dig and pull from your deck.

  • I paid for Studious to increase chances of finding what you need earlier. Especially Death • XIII where you can put it into play at no cost if it is.

  • I have 1 Sleight of Hand in here if you happen to have both this and Hyperphysical Shotcaster. You can use it one turn and get it right back in your hand for placing next turn.
