Intro

I'm doing a blind playthrough of Path to Carcosa on 2p on easy and wanted to share the deck I'll be running with it.

This deck gives Sefina endless cards to pull inspiration from to handle monsters. It will work best with a flex who can handles a few enemies once in a while or help out on nasty elites but is going to be a cluever otherwise.

Miss Vampgy

The main card in this deck is Vamp, and the deck is good once you have it upgraded. Vamp means we can regularly deal with enemies, dealing them damage, setting them up by evading them, while also getting a clue in the process. We're looking to get the most value from our vamp as possible, by:

• Fine Clothes means we're testing 0 and only fail on
• British Bull Dog will get brought out when we eventually draw on one of our 4 tests.
• Crystallizer of Dreams will give us when Vamp is passed through it
• Eldritch Tongue lets us reuse Vamp(and any other event) that gets sent to the discard.
• Sefina Rousseau's starting ability and The Painted World means we can get 3 extra Vamps if we have one in our opening hand.
• Friends in Low Places will let us with Clever and Experienced will let us filter our deck, while grabbing key items, and placing Vamp next up in our draw if we don't have it or it's core items to start.
• Honed Instinct with Killer Instinct is nice for when an enemy is coming to us and we can play it to Vamp them right back to where they came from, while getting a clue.
• Kicking the Hornet's Nest lets us grab an enemy for Vamp while loading us up on free resources and another clue flex.
• Refine comes along at the start to help us get our customizables online quickly.
• Sneak Attack can be used to do some easy follow up damage against an elite who was exhausted but not moved from Vamp.
• In a pinch, you can max out Bianca "Die Katz" to summon an enemy and bring out your British Bull Dog by trying to fail.

Other Combos

Aside from events and parleys being boosted, you have a few extra synergies:

• Use Friends in Low Places to set your weaknesses and Guardian of the Crystallizer's away from your draws. Be careful of shuffling your deck, o-try to only do it if your deck is unordered or you have a weakness coming up
• Use Eldritch Tongue and Crystallizer of Dreams and The Painted World to get max value from your events.
• Always try to double up when using String of Curses since you have so many ways to play it twice in a row. This is great for high health enemies.

Upgrade Paths

First up, we want to bring more ways to synergize with Vamp and stronger enemy management (usually with ).

• Bewitching (18XP total) is an easy way to boost Vamp because it increases the odds we have a Vamp in our starting hand by about 10%. We can hold Grift in there to ensure resources. Later on, we're looking at hold onto Ace in the Hole, Dirty Fighting, and Cheat Death.

• We have a very strong opening hand now, so might as well bring along The Moon • XVIII for 19XP total.

• Try to Refine Honed Instinct for Impulse Control, which will let you remove 1 Refine and 1 Sleight of Hand.

• 1x Dirty Fighting for your Bewitching can replace your last Sleight of Hand (21XP total).

• We're ready to bring in 2x Delilah O'Rourke and remove Bianca "Die Katz" and remove Refine (28XP total).
