THIS DECK WAS BUILT FOR A 4 PLAYER CAMPAIGN.
The inception of this deck started with using Pushed to the Limit (PTTL) on Sledgehammer & Fire Extinguisher. My first task was to find an investigator who could quickly wheel their deck to find hammers, while also putting them into the bin for PTTL.
Patrice seemed like the perfect candidate, but making sure we have PTTL in hand, and hammers in the bin on the same turn that we need to deal massive damage seemed difficult, as Patrice will get a new hand every turn. Thankfully, we have a suite of cards to help us get / keep PTTL for just the right moment. Hunting Jacket will be a key card for our build, as it can hold PTTL, Resourceful, Scrounge for Supplies, and True Survivor.
First let's look at what the deck is doing outside of hammers. With our highest stat being four , I like to play into a more toolbox style enemy manager with access to some pretty universal support cards. As per usual, I love to run In the Thick of It. This time we take both trauma into mental, as we can use Smoking Pipe and Bandages to bring ourselves back up to full, while keeping a charge on bandage for more sustain, and a charge on smoking pipe so that we can break our Hunting Jacket as a whenever we need the cards underneath.
With most of our stats coming in at an underwhelming 2, I like to make use of Shrivelling, Sixth Sense, and Crystal Pendulum for all of our standard combat / investigating needs. Miss Doyle is an amazing card for Patrice, as you will usually find your self in a "cat-loop", replacing one cat for another as they enter your discard and help you automatically succeed important tests!
Before we acquire some XP, spending an action to attack for 4 and 3 damage is only okay, we can use Sparrow Mask and Scrapper to up our bonus, but even with this support it feels weak as our "big burst combo". However, once we are able to upgrade both of our hammers for 8xp, that fight action becomes 7 and 6 damage!! A much better exchange rate.
Although she needs some help with clues, this brawl oriented version of Patrice is by far my favorite way to play her.
