A deck I built for a TDC blind run! It revolves around a janky synergy Sleight of Hand has with Remington Model 1858 and Lupara. Not necessarily the strongest deck out there, but it should be fun :D
Notable card choices
-
A ton of guns: Michael McGlen and Robert Castaigne incentivize you to run a lot of one-hand firearms. A nice bonus is the added consistency; you are likely to draw at least one weapon in your opening hand. Who needs Prepared for the Worst when you have a whopping 8 weapons in your deck? This redundancy also means you can afford to use a low-ammo gun like .18 Derringer.
-
The upgraded Remington Model 1858 is a lot of fun with Sleight of Hand, which lets you shoot the gun up to 5 times a turn (1 on entering play + 3 actions + 1 on leaving play). If you couldn't justify running Sleight of Hand just for cheating out Lupara, now you can!
-
Decorated Skull is a natural choice because you are going to engage a lot of enemies with two copies of "Where's the party?" and Kicking the Hornet's Nest, ideally triggering Michael McGlen's ability every round. Honestly, Lucky Cigarette Case may still be a better choice at 0 XP, but we've seen that card enough, so...
-
Charon's Obol is here because a significant amount of XP is needed for the jank this deck aims to pull off. Priority purchases are core pieces of the combo; namely, Robert Castaigne, Lupara, and Remington Model 1858.
-
Speaking of him, you can think of Robert Castaigne as a substitute for Sleight of Hand, letting you play Remington Model 1858 or Lupara at fast speed. The difference between the 0 XP version and the 4 XP version is huge; the latter saves you 2 actions (1 for triggering the ability, 1 for playing the asset) and 1 card (the asset spared from discarding), essentially giving you a whole turn worth of value (3 actions).
-
"You've had worse..." is included because Michael McGlen can't take much horror and Charon's Obol is scary. Liquid Courage is a good alternative, but you want to try this new shiny card from TDC!
-
Locked and Loaded is here just in case you want one more shot from Lupara. You are not going to run out of ammo anyways, especially with upgraded guns, but hey, this only costs 3 XP and doesn't take up a slot in your deck, so why not?

Bewitching is green Stick to the Plan! This requires you to engage with enemies, but that's hardly a concern for us. Get Sleight of Hand for the combo, search for further copies of Easy Mark, or just grab "Where's the party?" if you have nothing better to do.
