A hybrid Joe who uses Venturer to keep his .45 Automatic, Detective's Colt 1911s, and/or Fingerprint Kit charged up. The goal of this deck is to recur No Stone Unturned and Working a Hunch as many times as you can while enabling your allies by helping them find their combo cards.
Use Take the Initiative and Logical Reasoning to pass/heal from head checks.
"I've got a plan!" is there for the damage spike. If you feel your group won't need it trade it out as you see fit.
This deck's biggest issue is going to be its economy. Take advantage of Milan where you can, otherwise do your best to hold resources back so you never get slammed by Unsolved Case at a bad time.
--Hunch Deck--
Delay the Inevitable is probably the card I'm most unsure about here, and could be brought out for something like Emergency Aid if you think you'll need it. Scene of the Crime can be switched out for Evidence!, but you generally want to chew through your hunch deck to take advantage of the recursion.
--Upgrades--
-
No Stone Unturned (0) => No Stone Unturned (5) is a powerful first upgrade if the other players are reliant on a specific card. Depending on your group you may only want 1 or 2 of these.
-
Higher Education The main goal for this card is to help pass the must pass will test when Take the Initiative isn't enough. Hopefully you won't need it for actually investigating.
-
Preposterous Sketches or "I've got a plan!" => Cryptic Research (4) Since one of Joe's weaknesses is in his hunch deck his actual deck is generally pretty safe to draw from.
-
Charisma Honestly, there is a good chance you won't be able to get both allies out without one tanking a will check for you. It may be best to live without Charisma and just go with the flow. Depends on your group and how the campaign is going for you.
-
Overpower or Perception => Ace of Swords (1) or Death • XIII (1) You may only want one of these to avoid the dead draw later. Which you pick may depend on how your group is doing.
