Hello guys! This is the first hard-mode deck I pusblish, as I have recently started playing in hard difficulty and only played a few times by now. The deck I publish is untested but I have a lot of experience in the game to know how some basic stuff work. This deck is basically for hard mode as Big Money Dexter wouldn't make a lot of sense on Standard or Easy, as all those stat boosts you get would be meaningless. Dexter is a lot of fun to play and as Mystic-Rogue he gets access to a lot of money cards, making this build fairly easy to put into work. Dexter is a very strong investigator and from the start of the campaign he can pull off the difficult tasks the scenario makes him face.

Key Cards:

The absence of Holy Rosary is a thing in hard mode, but Well Connected pretty much makes up for it. In its place we have Lucky Cigarette Case, which offers card draw instead, which is very useful in Dexter. We also have some support events in case you find yourself in a hard spot, like Spectral Razor, and we also have David Renfield's boost which with the flexibility Dexter has to play his assets, pretty much makes up for the absence of Holy Rosary.

How to play the deck:

It's simple. Stack a lot of money and draw some cards. Put your key assets down and start working on enemies and clues. Early in the game you 're looking for Shrivelling, David Renfield, Lone Wolf and Lucky Cigarette Case. If you also get Rite of Seeking that's nice. If you get Enchanted Blade in the mulligan you can keep it, but your basic tool management is Shrivelling.

We have our support cards: Calling in Favors is very useful to get more milleage out of your allies and to find Molly Maxwell more easily. Liquid Courage is a card that I believe finds a home in Dexter and offers an easy test for Gregory Gry and Lucky Cigarette Case. If you need it, you can easily find it with Molly Maxwell by using her ability and naming Illicit. Intel Report and Spectral Razor is for those hard times and/or when you have a surplus of resources and Money Talks is useful for those pesky and tests on treacheries, or when you want ot evade an enemy. And of course we have the classic cards Deny Existence and Ward of Protection, which are staples.

Non-Spell Upgrades

Spell Upgrades

Late-campaign you will be unstoppable. With Shrivelling (5), Grotesque Statue and all your other key cards you can do a lot of powerful stuff, while drawing cards and gaining money in the process. Enchanted Blade (3) is a powerful tool for Dexter, especially with his ability and Well Connected, of course, will always support you properly.

Conclusion

In the end, this is a classic Dexter deck, with the difference that it uses resources to get powered up and it uses the succeed-by-X archetype. As I said above, Dexter is a lot of fun to play and his ability can lead to some fun moments, as well as have some powerful interactions.

Hope you liked the idea and if you try this deck out I hope it works out for you and you enjoy it.

Do you think that once the starter decks come out that you will exchange enchanted blade for Azure Flame?
