Introduction

This is a flex build for Yorick that leans heavily into Survivor to suit his position as one of Arkham Horror's more Gothic investigators. If you're running Path to Carcosa or The Circle Undone switch out .45 Automatic for Enchanted Blade, and should Parlay be a concern Fine Clothes can replace Leather Coat.

I enjoy the story this deck tells, and I hope it serves you well if you decide to bring it to your table.

Treachery

Aim to get Tennessee Sour Mash/Tennessee Sour Mash out as soon as you can; combined with Peter Sylvestre /Peter Sylvestre you should have the Mythos Phase covered.

Investigation

Gravedigger's Shovel and Old Keyring will alternate in your "off-hand" as needed. Use Old Keyring for low Shroud and Gravedigger's Shovel, Mysterious Raven, Scene of the Crime, for high Shroud locations. In ideal circumstances anyway. Scene of the Crime and Gravedigger's Shovel can grab 2 Clues with caveats, but they aren't terrible caveats. Over all, you shouldn't worry too much about being able to Investigate, in spite of Yorick's mediocre Intellect.

Combat

.18 Derringer/.18 Derringer and .45 Automatic/.45 Automatic (or Enchanted Blade) with Vicious Blow/Vicious Blow are your primary enemy management tools. Gravedigger's Shovel and Tennessee Sour Mash can help in a pinch. In fact, you may want to discard Tennessee Sour Mash if it's out of uses so you can grab it out later. The most important thing to remember is Act of Desperation, which basically insures you hit and can get a weapon into play "for free" from your discard using Yorick's ability.

Everything Else

Lucky! Is self evident. While failing-to-win is a common trope in Survivor, this deck doesn't truck with it, and this card helps to keep us out of it.

Scrounge for Supplies is a great card to start with, but as the deck upgrades, and just about everything in the deck has a straight upgrade, it loses it's usefulness. Once that happens, feel free to replace it with something like Eucatastrophe.

Upgrading

Some upgrades have already been mentioned, and it should be fairly plain where to take the deck. Charisma and Peter Sylvestre are always good early choices, upgrade to Gravedigger's Shovel, then replace Scene of the Crime with Ace of Swords. As Exile cards start to sort in, make time for Deja Vu.

Notes

I would have Resourceful in the deck, but it isn't as reliable or useful as Scrounge for Supplies, at the start anyway. Perhaps a cheap side-grade for Scrounge for Supplies if the need arises?
