Paradise Flex Carolyn

Of the three investigators I've played with so far, Carolyn Fern has been the most intriguing, mainly because of her unique deck building allowances and restrictions.

Being able to tap into all five investigator card pools, the new synergy cards seem perfectly suited to her and provides surprising burst damage, mobility, action compression or utility.

First priority upgrade should be Stick to the Plan, as it thins four useful cards (including Astounding Revelation) from your deck, and allows you to draw unique assets with more accuracy. Plus, the idea of Carolyn Fern taking the Encounter Deck by suprise via On the Hunt when she has her burst damage in hand is really funny to me.

Second priority is the Archive. It should be researchable by the first 2 or 3 sessions of your campaign, but takes a little setup. Refer to the 0XP version of the deck here, where Higher Education and an extra Research Librarian make attaining this side quest easier.

The third priority upgrade is the ever cheesy Key of Ys, since Carolyn needs a helping hand with her stats (combined with Foolishness), and we are technically new to the game ;)

Lastly, Bruiser was selected strictly for small bursts in accuracy with Meat Cleaver, and to allow a consistent 5 colour spread for our Synergy Events and Assets. It could be replaced with a Precious Memento from the Past/Future (and Relic Hunter) for a more defensive multicolour Asset option.
