Main Fighter Lily Chen
Level 0 Deck
In this deck, we are looking for just One Primary Melee Weapon, ways to look for it for consistency, and team support. As the Fighter, Lily Chen starts with her Combat Discipline () in play.
It is crucial to play with a team that can help Lily draw in case of a bad mulligan.
At level 0, the Primary Melee Weapon is the Dragon Pole, along with Brand of Cthugha (2)'s to support it. When the Dragon Pole is fully online, it is one of the best Level 0 Weapons in the game, with a Base Fist of 8 and +1 Damage. In order to support it to get it online, we have Scrying to take up that Arcane Slot and use in our fighter downtime to help the team, and Talisman of Protection to ensure we can tank damage and fill that arcane slot.
The Main Issue with Lily's Deckbuilding is of course, the 5 - Level 0 Guardian () Cards, as there are so many that would be useful which we cannot grab. This deck could swap out the Hallowed Mirror for a Prepared for the Worst or a Tetsuo Mori to look for the main weapon more consistently, apart from the Backpack.
For these 5 - Level 0 Guardian () Cards, I have the aforementioned Hallowed Mirror, Stand Together and Vicious Blow, which are all solid options, but can easily be replaced with Safeguard, Second Wind, Machete or even a Beat Cop.
The Ally in this deck is Olive McBride, and as we upgrade the deck her strength only grows. Eventually, Lily will be fighting at high enough numbers that the only token she would lose to is the Auto-Fail (). Hence, Olive only scales with the deck and is irreplaceable.
The Events and Skills are all the standard ones expected from a Mystic () and Guardian (), with Mythos Resilience from Ward of Protection, Deny Existence and Promise of Power, and some fight support like Vicious Blow and Spectral Razor.
Team Support in this deck comes in the forms of Stand Together, Scrying, and the Hallowed Mirror to use in the fighter downtime.
Upgrade Path
The important Disciple to add for Lily is the Agility Discipline, in order to mitigate the Burden of Destiny weakness, as well as use its ability when the time is right.
The main upgrades this deck is looking for is the Cyclopean Hammer. It will allow her to fight at a base skill of 8, which can be further boosted by the WIllpower Discipline, Beat Cop and even a Holy Rosary after a Relic Hunter to enable bless and have a base fight of 11. After these upgrades, the crucial Backpack in case we don't find our weapon, the Brand of Cthugha, and the strength of Olive, Lily will be able to take anything the game can throw at her.
Some secondary upgrades will include Stand Together and Vicious Blow, along with Charisma and/or Relic Hunter for the Beat Cop and Holy Rosary, and Stick to the Plan if the deck includes a Prepared for the Worst, for the consistency and economy.
