I used this deck for a Return to the Path to Carcosa campaign with an all-mystic team. Luke Robinson was the main clue gatherer while Diana Stanley handled the enemies, with Marie doing a little of both.
Occult Lexicon and Hallowed Mirror work well with Marie as their bonded cards (Blood-Rite and Soothing Melody, respectively) are spells, making them eligible targets for her special additional action and the Arcane Initiate search ability.
Sixth Sense is the main tool for getting clues, while Shrivelling and Storm of Spirits supply the offense. One of these (along with Ward of Protection and Deny Existence) can be upgraded at a 2 XP discount after each scenario thanks to the 2 X Arcane Research.
Ethereal Form is there to handle enemies when no attack spells are available. I later added Banish for more evasion as neither Luke nor Diana had any evade ability. I opted for events over Mists of R'lyeh to avoid contention for arcane slots.
Deny Existence, Eldritch Inspiration, Fearless and Soothing Melody either prevent horror or remove it; Marie starts with 2 mental trauma and later on Shrivelling (5) deals 2 horror with bad symbols.
The Fine Clothes are there to parley with the Poltergeist in Curtain Call and the dinner guests in The Last King. In other campaigns, I might add Premonition or Enraptured instead. Winging It didn't end up being that useful; I'd probably replace it with Drawing Thin.
