Based on my first Rita build for The Circle Undone solo, this is the final list of a TFA-winning Ursula/Rita 2-player campaign on Standard.
Rita is a great enemy manager for The Forgotten Age, and can get to a base 8 evade value with Peter Sylvestre, Track Shoes, and Trench Coat, which is basically necessary in this campaign, as there are some high-agility enemies throughout, and the Alert keyword is extremely rough, especially when snake poison and the autofail token are involved.
Upgrade path was 2x Ornate Bow, then 2x Peter Sylvestre, with Eucatastrophe being great autofail tech. A couple of A Test of Will came and went as well, so 34xp is closer to the final count. Cornered never once got played on the table, so would use that xp elsewhere next time. Ace in the Hole was a Shattered Aeons include that gave Rita a clutch 6-action turn right near the end when the walls were really closing in, enemy-wise. The oft-sneered at Five of Pentacles was actually great, as damage values got close to fatal in the final scenario. Based on my two weaknesses of Amnesia and Paranoia, Fortune or Fate was great insurance to have in-hand, but I never actually played it once in about four or five scenarios.
Rita and Ursula make an amazing pair in Forgotten Age. They had zero vengeance (i.e. no tally marks under Yig's Fury) by the end of the campaign, thanks to their evade-based enemy management. Highly recommend!

One way around this action problem is shooting Daisy's enemy with Ornate Bow while it's engaged with her, and having Eucatastrophe in hand in case you draw the autofail. You're usually bound to be 5 up on this test, so autofail is usually the only issue there. Happy evading! |
May 26, 2020That's true. I just got Pendant of the Queen one scenario ago and it's very helpful. It's so much better with infinite uses, thanks to Book of Shadows 1 and Abigail Foreman. |

Jun 04, 2020You're right, i didn't notice that. Seems I've been playing it incorrectly. |
I'm currently playing daisy in 2 player, the other is Rita. Rita is great at keeping enemies at bay, but she's often action starved as those evaded enemies pile up and she has no access to guardian tools like Taunt to take them off me. Or extra actions from rogue to kill them afterwards. I use Ancient Stone + Scroll of Prophecies + Abigail Foreman to clear the board at least once per scenario.
Cornered is great card, not sure why you'd recommend not taking it. It turns all your handcards into Unexpected Courage, so it's great enocunter protection (damage, horror, discard,...) as well.
