Hey everyone! I got some requests for my version of the Stealth/Exploit Weakness build for Preston using my Butterfly Effect Unlimited Events loop, so here it is!

With this deck even the fragile, 1-statted Preston can pay his way into becoming the dark and brooding superhero that Arkham needs! But I know what you're thinking–Batman? More like No-Stats-man!

Ok maybe you weren't thinking that, but I thought it was too funny not to say. Anyway, if you're curious about...

How Preston Got Swole Using Martial Arts (And Also a Bunch of Cursed Artifacts)

...then read on!

Using the Butterfly loop (check it out at the above links if you don't know what I'm talking about), Preston can play Exploit Weakness every single turn, meaning that every turn he can one-shot an enemy or lock down an Elite for only half his allowance.

The one obstacle here is getting that evade value down to 0, but with Preston's card pool, that turns out not to be so difficult after all. With Stealth and Flashlight, he can take down any enemy up to 4 evade without even spending an action. If he adds a second Flashlight or Gumption, we go up to 6 evade, and with both Preston has the ability to one-shot any enemy up to a whopping 8 evade.

For off-turns, you can clean up clues with Shed a Light, refill his gear with Salvage, or even go looking for trouble with Kicking the Hornet's Nest. Regardless of what you choose, I recommend taking as many tests as possible, to dig curses out of the bag and spare your friends some of the consequences of your overpowering coolness.

I also included Henry Wan here, because he's fun and Lucky Dice makes him stronger (though not as absurdly strong as the level 2 version does). But you could swap him out for Preston's old pals Delilah O'Rourke or Lola Santiago, or even Gregory Gry to boost your Well Connected (since autosuccess guarantees your success margin).

"#Customizable"

This deck still offers plenty of customizability for your style and the needs of your table. Skills like "Watch this!", Sharp Vision, Copycat, Nimble, and Quick Thinking all synergize beautifully with autosuccess. Unrelenting is a shoo-in upgrade for the deck regardless of focus, as it boosts your chance of drawing symbols without triggering your Dice.

If you want to focus purely on clue-gathering (probably the stronger option, though a little less fun than fast one-shots using Stealth), you can run Newspaper, Sharp Vision, and maybe even "Look what I found!" (I know, I'm apparently obsessed with that card) for a ridiculous clue output. In this deck you'd be looping Shed a Light every turn rather than Exploit Weakness.

If you want an actual Customizable, then Friends in Low Places is a friend indeed. Choosing either Trick or the combination of Tactic and Insight will let you pull out either your core two events or all four of your loopers (minus Butterfly). If you make it Prompt, you can even do that during the same fast window you want to then play the cards! Or you can use it as a (much better) Backpack, digging for the Item trait and getting Swift to save the subsequent play action. Either way, stacking the rest of your deck with Clever is often as good or better than drawing the cards all at once.

In Conclusion

Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoyed! I've gotten a number of questions about some of the variant builds I mentioned in the original article, plus I've gotten inspired to conquer a few of them on my own, so I'll probably post a few more over the coming weeks.

Maybe I'll even conquer my fear of Blue and try to build the Nathaniel loop I suggested. We'll see!
