Zoey Shoots, Prays and Negotiates with her BFF

Introduction

I wanted to see what an investigator could do with the Luger as a fast action using all upgrades. Sadly, McGlen suffers greatly from butterfingers, so it comes to Zoey to make lemonade out of this self-recharging deadly lemon.

Card Drawing: ★★★★☆

Main Strategy
  • Upgrade your Luger as fast as you can, so that the fast action becomes a Reliable Way to deal with enemies.

  • Keep a Spare Blade ready to save your gun for when you really need it and Fuel Zoey's ability

  • Accompany your BFF on her hunting trips to move, engage and kill enemies even if it is not your turn.

The idea here is to dump as many upgrades as you can as fast as you can on the Luger, and use the damage you get from them to kill enemies really fast. We also have a Machete, to later become a Blessed Blade, to spare our weapon to when she is really needed. And the combo of Dakota and Luger allows us to move, engage and fight as fast actions and not even necessarily on our turn.

Other Cards

*Safeguard is your best attempt to keep your fragile seeker friend alive so that he can gloat about all the clues he gets while you hold off the Eldritch Armies

*Wolf Mask, Overpower, Daring and Vicious Blow are here to make sure you pass the fight test by 3 and trigger Custom Modifications and kill what needs to be killed

*Faustian Bargain is here because the deck is expensive and the Luger does demand a resource to go again

Final Thoughts

I think there is a lot of potential with the fast fight actions and all the buffs, but I worry the deck might be slow to get going at times. But even at its worst, use the Machete or the Blessed Blade as the main weapon and the Luger as a Vicious Blow. I hope you all enjoy this and thank you to Valentin for the publishing guide!

Spicy take on enemy management! Having the option to cover you cluever outside your turn opens so many doors, specially for the fellows that want the odd enemy in play during their turns (Trish, Lucius and... well, everyone running parley)
