Follow trail of Isabelle with information from the Newspaper and her trusty 3-man sidekicks.

This Jenny is clue-focused. She can stay far away from your team, juking enemies along the way, while regenerating steady resources and come back with clues, replaying Flashlight and Allies with her wealth along the way.

► About "2 Packs Deck Guide"
A series of decks made with the new distribution model in mind, requiring a Revised Core Set box + just 1 more Investigator Expansion box. ⌂ character on the deck's name means the additional box it uses is The Dunwich Legacy Investigator Expansion.
It maximizes the chance of newcomers being able to build and learn to play the game, enjoying the story on Standard difficulty ASAP. They can then get into deck-building later if they wished to do so. See other decks in the "2 Packs Deck Guide" series here.

How to play

  • 2x Charisma allows Leo De Luca + Dr. Milan Christopher + Cat Burglar which she can play/replay with her wealth.
  • 2 of the allies Dr. Milan Christopher and Cat Burglar nudge her middling stat to usable with permanent and boost. Leo De Luca provide a spare action to use on Cat Burglar, or for replaying Flashlight while on the move, so enemies don't catch up with you while you go drain a new location.
  • You may have a mountain of resources after stabilizing with 2-3 allies. Don't go overboard in spending Hard Knocks, remember that allies can die and you need to replay them.
  • Maintain Newspaper and Flashlight on hand. Jenny's Twin .45s takes backstage in this deck, you can just commit it away for +3 Backstab.
  • Get away from any spawning enemy with Cat Burglar and continue working wherever she ended up at instead of killing it. Recommended to left odd clues here and there so you can work immediately after moving around. You can do this to arrive at Izzie quicker by surfing the enemies.
  • Hands-free attack events Backstab and Sneak Attack so you don't have to hold any weapon. Work on clues diligently to ensure she has resources to play their expensive 2~3 cost. Cat Burglar's boost is needed for both.
  • Use exceptional cards to accelerates your investigation and clutch out a scenario.
  • Scavenging can bring back drained Flashlight. Knock out an empty Flashlight to discard pile with Fast-play Switchblade, if you got no treachery that cause the discard.
  • Overall feels like a greener, female Monterey Jack.

Upgrade guide

Depending on if your party has a dedicated fighter or not, decide whether to get the exceptional cards (Ace in the Hole + The Gold Pocket Watch) first, or the Switchblade (2) + Opportunist (2) set first. This matters a lot for Dunwich campaign, which you may only reach about 20 XP on your first play without a pumping Delve Too Deep.

❂ : Starting with 2 copies, this upgrade left one copy in the deck.

From my testplay, Perception should not be removed. Icons are heavily . If Dr. Milan Christopher and Flashlight are not coming at the same time and you need to get 4 shroud cleared, Perception and Unexpected Courage are the key to victory. (Newspaper is unreliable, and we don't have pump like Hyperawareness.)

Unique () warning

Since this deck is based on having Dr. Milan Christopher + Leo De Luca online at the same time, two of very popular ally in and respectively, it is likely that you cannot have more or investigator as they would also want to put down these allies, but can't due to unique () rule. (Also you will be taking all physical copies of them.)

The 5 splashes

2x Newspaper

A card that define this deck together with Flashlight and Leo De Luca. You can run around and grab clues flexibly at various shroud requirement, while able to fend off threats with one-off events or Cat Burglar.

2x Dr. Milan Christopher

The only possible permanent boost for Jenny in this card pool that is not taking the hand, and not Alyssa Graham. Jenny needs a nudge from her 3/3/3/3 to be what you want to do. We dedicate her splashes for him.

Generates resources for playing attack events and the other 2 allies Cat Burglar and Leo De Luca. (Total to 10 resources !!)

Scavenging

This card makes her a great Flashlight user since she can bring it back. You just need to knock it out to discard pile, which is the task of Switchblade while an another hand is holding Newspaper.

You may need to get your first clue with Newspaper on an easy location if you are going for Scavenging trigger 2 succeed-by. Hard Knocks cannot boost , there is no Lockpicks, and this deck has no more XP allowances for tabooed Streetwise.

You cannot bring back The Gold Pocket Watch since it is removed from the game.

Card tips

Jenny's Twin .45s

Not recommended to equip or you may lose your investigation gadgets. Focus on using evasion and getting clues as much as you can until one of 2x Backstab / 2x Sneak Attack arrives if you want to dispose an enemy. Commit it for +3 .

Equip only when it is clear that scenario is transition to fighting phase.

You can play and choose X as 0 in order to discard an empty Flashlight in a hurry if you have no other way, when you want to Scavenging it back.

Emergency Cache

Despite her innate ability, Lone Wolf, and Dr. Milan Christopher, she still need some more money if allies to play came in close succession.

Lone Wolf

Encourages being away from the team, which Cat Burglar will make sure she could do so and coming back alive, and still not missing any turn without getting 1 more resource from Dr. Milan Christopher.

If you can fulfill Lone Wolf + Dr. Milan Christopher repeatedly, you are ready to use Backstab / Sneak Attack whenever you get them, along with having spare resources to replay the 2nd copy of the allies.

Quick Thinking

Try it together where you want to Scavenging, perhaps Flashlight on 2 shroud location.

Cat Burglar

You can equip 2 at the same time due to him not having constraint, if you want. This makes you ready to do Backstab and Sneak Attack better.

Switchblade

The laughing stock weapon has a task in this deck that is to play Fast (not costing action) to get Flashlight out of your hand for Scavenging. The other hand needs to be occupied with Newspaper, following the game's rule of discarding asset.

Jenny can sometimes pump into Hard Knocks to land that elusive +1 damage if really really needed to.

Switchblade ••

It gets real when upgraded. Not only you can still bump Flashlight out Fast, you have "the serial killer" combo you can pull off in a big fight due to its unlimited use.

Find as many copies as Opportunist (2) as you can and repeatedly stab with both committed, perhaps with some Hard Knocks boost each time if you have the resources, to ensure they keeps coming back until the fighting is done. Leo De Luca action let you repeat this more, Ace in the Hole can get you 3 more, and The Gold Pocket Watch can get you even more. If multiple enemies exist, go from easier to harder so Opportunist (2) is not lost mid-way inside this combo.

Opportunist ••

Allows you to perform the Switchblade combo attacks.

Ace in the Hole •••

General purpose card, you can pop it to drain a lot of clues or stab repeatedly with Switchblade + Opportunist.

The Gold Pocket Watch ••••

With Leo De Luca you get the action bonus again when repeating Investigation Phase.

Investigator combo

  • Zoey Samaras : When you draw an enemy, use Cat Burglar to disenegage and drop the enemy to her then she will get resources. This is better than Evade as exhausted enemy will not engage Zoey just yet.
  • Teamwork : Can take your spare resources or spare allies. Due to constraint, you cannot play a new one while your ally is with the other investigator, except Cat Burglar.
