Hi guys! I've just finished TCU with our favorite paintress (solo) and it was quite fun to play this deck through this campaign. I think with some arrangements, this deck can also work well one TFA. No skill cards here, the Crystallizer of Dreams replace all of them with those so useful events that Sefina plays with.

Core Deck

The deck works thanks to the combination of Crystallizer of Dreams to boost your skill test and De Vermis Mysteriis to recycle those event after they have been used for those skill tests. All the events choose here are spell or insight to fit with De Vermis Mysteriis. However remember that our favorite book can't be used neither and fast events (adios Deny Existence, Ward of Protection) nor with Bind Monster as it keep attached to the enemy selected. However you can run all the other events you've got.

Dealing with foes

Sefina is here to evade the foes. In solo it is almost every time sufficient to go through a scenario, in multiplayer it can be very useful to earn time for your friends to stuff up or accomplish any other important task at this moment. Mists of R'lyeh are here to be the long run evade solution with free movement. Adding Ethereal Form make you even more mobile and free to do whatever you want during a round without fearing any attack from foes. If some noisy hunter is running after you, Banish it or even bind it. With 4 base stat, Four of Cups,Holy Rosary and the skill boost thanks to the Crystallizer of Dreams you will be able to paralyze one (or two) monster during the entire scenario!

Clue gathering

Sefina relies on Flashlight for easy location, Sixth Sense for the common ones and Drawn to the Flame and Read the Signs for the most difficult places. Thanks to De Vermis Mysteriis you can play Read the Signs 4 times in a play!

Path of leveling

I finished TCU with 30xp but I found the deck good enough with 17xp.

  1. De Vermis Mysteriis <--> Ritual Candles / 4xp
  2. Relic Hunter / 3xp
  3. Banish <--> Blinding Light / 2xp
  4. Bind Monster <--> Astral Travel / 4xp
  5. Four of Cups <--> Eldritch Inspiration / 2xp
  6. Leo De Luca <--> Leo De Luca / 2xp

After that you can upgrade whatever spell you want, I've done it in this order:

  1. Sixth Sense
  2. Ward of Protection
  3. One Deny Existence

I didn't plan to upgrade those spell at the beginning of my campaign. I would have certainly take Arcane Research in order to upgrade more of them.

Useful staff / what to change for TFA?

Leo De Luca is here to grant you extra action. Lone Wolf to get enough money to play the events. Four of Cups and Holy Rosary to give you enough to ensure your tests on spells (which cans be upgrade of course). Is you're running TFA I recommend you to change them to get more survivability for the skill tests:

  1. Leo De Luca --> Cat Burglar
  2. Four of Cups --> The Moon • XVIII
  3. In multiplayer you may also changeLone Wolf with Pickpocketing
