Consider the following card-specific concepts while playing this deck:

• In the initial hand (opening draw), the most important card to mulligan for is Dragon Pole, followed by either Brand of Cthugha [preferred], Enchanted Blade, or Prepared for the Worst, and lastly, either Eldritch Initiation or Scrying.
• Playing one or more (1+) arcane slot assets is important to "power up" the Dragon Pole, and also, to counteract the Ectoplasmic Horror basic weakness.
• Arcane Initiate, Eldritch Initiation, Prepared for the Worst, and Scrying are useful for finding needed cards.
