If you want to seal those evil pesky tokens, Dexter can do it faster than anyone with his magic tricks with this support build. He has good action economy playing assets and getting them back, and with his ability, charges are no problem. As such, you can commit duplicate assets on harder skill checks. Being part-rogue, he has access to Charon's Obol, which paired with The Great Work gives you the much-needed (but risky) xp-boost to get this build online faster.
During the scenarios you have the following missions, in order of importance:
1) Stay alive! Heal your damage/horror from trauma.
2) Seal nasty tokens (and some enemies) in your top hat.
3) Help deal with enemies.
4) Help with gathering clues.
5) Heal your friends.
You won't be able to seal much during the first scenario due to the lack of the main card Seal of the Seventh Sign, so focus on staying alive and helping the team.
Strategy: Start by sealing a token with The Chthonian Stone if possible (mulligan). Print lots of money with Alchemical Transmutation and Faustian Bargain. Those Protective Incantations will be a money drain later. Save with Uncage the Soul and Robes of Endless Night / Ceremonial Robes.
Stay close to your enemy-slaying friends or use Shrivelling to seal them in your Binder's Jar to increase your arcane slots. Pull up some Familiar Spirits from your top hat to help with that as well.
Find your token sealers. Use your signature, "For my next trick...", Word of Command and Uncage the Soul, as well as Friends in Low Places. If you manage to equip your witch assistant Dayana Esperence with "For my next trick..." or Word of Command, even better. You can also play "For my next trick..." again with Uncage the Soul!
Try to seal 1 more token with Protective Incantation before playing Seal of the Seventh Sign. You want to do this early, so if you need to, you can play Seal of the Seventh Sign early and then play The Chthonian Stone, and recharge your auto-fail seal with Book of Shadows to keep it online.
Then, help your teammates with enemy slaying (Shrivelling) and clue-vacuuming (Rite of Seeking) as you see fit. These cards are now safer to use since the nasty tokens are now buried in your fancy top hat.
Heal lots with Meditative Trance when your arcane slots are filled and with Spiritual Healing, switching it out when it runs out of charges.
Order of Upgrades:
The following spells should be upgraded only one at a time after every scenario to make use of Arcane Research. In order of priority (you probably won't be able to upgrade them all for cheap, so choose wisely):
- Alchemical Transmutation x2 ➡ Alchemical Transmutation x2
- Shrivelling x2 ➡ Shrivelling
- Rite of Seeking x2 ➡ Rite of Seeking x2
- Shrivelling x2 ➡ Shrivelling
- Rite of Seeking x2 ➡ Rite of Seeking x2
- Earthly Serenity x2 ➡ Earthly Serenity x2
Other upgrades and new cards in order of priority:
- Promise of Power x2 ➡ Binder's Jar x1
- Second Sight x1 ➡ Seal of the Seventh Sign x1
- Liquid Courage x2 ➡ Protective Incantation x2
- Occult Reliquary

- Uncage the Soul x2 ➡ Uncage the Soul x2
- Friends in Low Places x2 ➡ Experienced (3xp)
- The Chthonian Stone x2 ➡ The Chthonian Stone x2
BONUS If the campaign's longer or you have left over xp, don't be afraid to spend it on some Spiritual Healing.
This is a risky, but fun deck. In a 8-scenario campaign, you'll be able to save 14xp by upgrading cards with Arcane Research, plus you'll gain an extra 24xp before the last scenario with Charon's Obol, The Great Work and In the Thick of It. That's a 38xp advantage, which makes this 63xp actually feasible. Have fun making things disappear in your fancy top hat.
