This deck focuses on using Dr. Elli Horowitz to play some strong relics that Zoey has access to. You have 6 targets in the deck:
This is the main engine of the deck. The rest of the deck you can really change up however you would like it to be. As pointed out by the comment section, please remove the 1 copy of Venturer as it has no interaction with Empty Vessel or Enchanted Blade. The suggestion made was to give Zoey Peter Sylvestre dropping Act of Desperation. If your team isn't bringing someone who is already taking Peter as a unique, definitely consider this option. Otherwise, viable alternatives include Tetsuo Mori to help search or recycle weapons and Something Worth Fighting For for some extra horror soak. Safeguard is always a good inclusion for a guardian with zero need to venture from their cluevers as this Zoey doesn't even try to supplement with clue gathering.
Stick to the Plan is a great card to help trigger Astounding Revelation so that you start with 7 resources. You also can trigger the 2nd copy using Dr. Elli Horowitz as well as Calling in Favors. Depending on the scenario, you could change up what tactics you bring:

Ever Vigilant this is honestly a must-have for STTP since it lets you prep your board in turn 1. Especially with Astounding Revelation giving you 7 resources to start with. You can really play any combination of assets.

"Get over here!" As of making this deck, I am including 1 copy of this card in my STTP often. Its fantastic for dealing with Zoey's weakness and helping your seeker out. You can pull your Smite the Wicked target to you and save a lot of actions. It also can be used in conjunction with Zoey's Cross

Delay the Inevitable and First Watch are super flexy. You play whatever tactics you want to. I like First Watch since I love to play 4p multiplayer. This deck has zero clue gathering potential, so you will need to bring some good cluevers along for you to protect. I find Delay to be acceptable tanking for someone on your team. Dodge probably does the same thing. I don't know. Personal preference.
Dealing with your low horror, Zoey will be bringing Hallowed Mirror and Enchanted Blade. Of course there is the Delay the Inevitable mentioned previously. This is a pretty standard Zoey deck in my opinion. Definitely not reinventing the wheel. Happy piloting.

Mar 30, 2020Peter Sylvestre is a great solution for sanity, especially searching for him with Calling in Favors and Solemn Vow to heal other people as well. I'd probably replace Venturer and Act of Desperation for these cards. Did you consider Safeguard? Saves you lots of move actions, especially if the cluer has Pathfinder. |

Safeguard I love so much, I just stopped trying to add Exp cards to the list with the amount of Exp in the deck already. Maybe the ally list like: Peter, Guard Dog x2, Elli x2, 1 Beat Cop(2), if Exp is tight. Otherwise yeah, safeguard is always great. |
Mar 31, 2020True, 37 xp is a lot (or too much) for most campaigns. Maybe 2x Prepared for the Worst and reduce Timeworn Brand to 1? Add 2x Delve Too Deep (your choice what to replace)? While the deck looses some of it's flair i always think Delve Too Deep and Overzealous fit very well to Zoey's background. |
Mar 31, 2020Yeah there's a lot going on here. I just wanted to showcase the Elli Relic package on Zoey. I haven't done the most extensive playtesting, but I am pretty sure that the STTP package can be dropped if Exp is a scarce commodity. Maybe view this decklist more as a toolbox for general goodies to supplement Zoey's fanatic/zealous/manic relic rampage. |
I thnk You cant use Venturer for a cherges. There are cards like Enraptured that can add those.
