I like the deck! I was wondering though, would Favor of the Sun not be a pretty valuable get? Guaranteed recursion for Spectral Razor and Read the Signs.

true challenge. run this without dream eaters cards . i'm lacking that expansion ;(

@PorkyLabrador Thanks! Favor of the Sun is on the deck already, I agree the combo is useful.

@difra I think it's mainly Spectral Razor and Read the Signs which are from the Dream Eaters cycle in the level 0 deck. In such a case if you have Hemlock Vale you can likely sort out a way to proxy with the upgraded versions (it's the recursion and the that are the differences). If you're sleeving, you can just put in a tell (a torn bit of paper, etc.) between upgraded and un-upgraded copies. Or you can proxy more formally if you felt inclined.

Another great deck, thanks for sharing! I think I'll have to use this for my blind Hemlock run; any other of your decks (other than maybe your new Agnes) that you think would match well? I'm afraid losing all my Scavenging shenanigans has left me dazed and confused!

@Nessmk2 Glad you liked it! I personally paired this with a Joe Diamond flex deck - this) one that I haven't posted yet. The idea was putting Fine Tuning in the hunch deck (to play on Fingerprint Kit •••• and so clue compress) and then use guns for shooting, with big card draw using Thorough Inquiry and Preposterous Sketches in the hunch deck to assemble your various assets.

I liked it but I didn't love it, relying on Reliable for boosts to Fingerprint Kit and a gun is ironically not so reliable! Fine Tuning didn't always come out of the hunch deck when I wanted it to either.

I was going to pivot the deck and give it some more power (e.g. put in Charisma and Beat Cop •• to improve combat directly, and likely take Fingerprint Kit 0 over the upgraded version, and downgrade to base Deduction as well) but hadn't worked out the kinks and lost enthusiasm with it. In general I do like the idea of Thorough Inquiry, Fine Tuning and Preposterous Sketches in the hunch deck though!

I doubt I'll post the deck now, it's a shame because I really want to make a great Joe deck but they always seem to slip through my fingers! I think pairing this anything flexy but stronger on the clue side would work (I'm still developing some decks so I may have something out on this in a few weeks).

Have you had trouble with damage without any real health soak?

@jgslc Sorry just spotted this, I don't tend to go into the email account that gives me notifications often! No I thought it was alright, as you do have both Nephthys as a one pointer and Guardian Angel, and damage is a good way to get rid of Arcane Initiate when they stop being useful - plus the card draw here (between Glory and Arcane Initiate) is alright enough to help these cards come together. An of 3 also helps against damage dealing treacheries, compared to investigators who have 2 or 1.

What do you think about use Nella Tana del Bianconiglio instead of Ricerca Arcana?

@Flazzy Thanks for the question - I don't think it would be worth it, as Stick to the Plan, Prophetic, Radiant Smite, Ever Vigilant, Nephthys, Four of Cups and Favor of the Sun are all 'new' cards and so trigger Down the Rabbit Hole's (Nella Tana del Bianconiglio) XP penalty. Arcane Research (Ricerca Arcana) on the other hand provides clean XP breaks - and the mental trauma really isn't very bad with the sanity soak that this deck has.
