Hallowed Chalice

The chalice is costly. Three bucks and it takes up a slot any investigator can’t have enough of. There are two people who this will be an excellent fit for, though. Amina, the doom manipulator, can play it for free then immediately undoom it by healing one damage or horror. Hopefully someone in your party is moderately undamaged. But this also a sometimes-pick for Dr. Carolyn Fern. Not because it’s an on-tap money generator for other players, Stand Together can do that more efficiently, and the Book of Psalms can add blesses at the same time. The reason why she'd like it: it’s one of the few efficient ways to heal damage at level zero. First aid, healing words, thermos: just as expensive, but with limited uses. if you have some wiggle in the encounter deck, you know you’ll have a way to heal someone’s horror completely and use the chalice to top it off. With hypnotic therapy, you only have to get within two horror of Sane.

Drink up!

Q: I am really confused with ammo spend quantity. Which option is correct?: 1- Spend X action and X ammo 2- Spend X action and only 1 ammo. No matter actions quantity.

Example: 1- Spend 2 actions: 2 ammo. +4 Force, +2 Damage 2- Spend 2 actions: 1 ammo. +4 Force, +2 Damage

You always spend only 1 ammo, and then you choose the actions you want to spend, so the second option that you mentioned. — Typhen · 7
"As you wish"

Carson‘s signature card is useful, but it’s especially useful in a few circumstances. When used in the presence of Harvey Walters during the investigation phase, it generates two cards, pass or fail. For Minh, who also has the assistant trait, it’s +4, which should get you where you need to go on standard. it also staves off Carson‘s weakness and, with new taboo clarifications, can be used and copied by Copycat for even more uses.

That day, Minh was amazed to discover that when he was saying "As you wish," what he meant was, "I love you." And even more amazing was the day she realized she truly loved him back. — NarkasisBroon · 10
Additionally, "As You Wish" is the target of Practice Makes Perfect. If Carson contains As You Wish, Leadership, Perception/Overpower in his deck, PMP searches a card for another investigator's test, imo. — elkeinkrad · 483

Trivia : If you bought The Path to Carcosa Investigator Expansion, it has the Revised Core Set art instead of this original art. (Though The Dunwich Legacy Investigator Expansion gives Deduction (2) of the original art instead of the Daisy one.)

Flute of the Outer Gods

From the latest taboo list:

"Flute of the Outer Gods: I’ll be honest here, the reason this card is so xp-hungry is because we had a few wild playtests with this card and I got nervous. Sometimes it can be difficult to tell where a card’s true power level lies until it releases! This new version simply cuts its cost in half by removing the Exceptional keyword, making it a lot more playable, while still being a higher level card, where it should be.As of the latest list of taboos, this is no longer Exceptional!"

The true salt in the wound for FOTOG is that Scarlet Keys is bringing Word of Power for some actually very strong enemy control. — Death by Chocolate · 1428
